Today we traveled all the way to Mountain View to attend a Ohlone Village field trip.
It was awesome!!! Like I said, for Nov we were studying the Mayflower, Pilgrims and the Wamponog Indians. Well, during the onion layers of our discovery we found the Indian tribes native to our area of the Bay. One of those native to our area was the Ohlone. A ranger (Ranger Jessica) took us on a stop and go 4 mi nature walk and along the way explained to us the importance of the wildlife to the Ohlone and a basic history of the tribe.
TONS of pictures (did you expect anything less?) and even some movies.
Enjoy
