HOLY BUSY!!! we're going through changes

Glass blowing in Benicia

How many Licks to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop Kids VS. Mom

Salt Crystals

Melting sugar making candy

It started out like any other day of any other grade we have entered so far.
With me convincing myself this process is the only process. Me worried he was being left behind. Me hoping his little soul is not being crushed in this process. Me wondering is this the BEST thing for PARKER.
WEEK TWO
WEDNESDAY
I picked him up and we never returned
I spent long nights and long days researching homeschooling. What do I want to do ISP,Charter, PSP? What method are we going to use? What curriculum will we decide on?
Well, it is decided Parker is a 3rd grade homeschooler.
WE LOVE IT!!!!!!!
He is so happy and content. Days are long for me, but I finally am feeling light and airy about his learning process and he is not forced to keep up. We can get to it when HE is ready NOT when 34 other kids from his overcrowded class decide it's time to move on to the next level. Plus Field trips last week were awesome. We went to the candy store after watching candy making on you tube. Studying heat we melted sugar and went and saw glass blowing.
He does play dates and we start a homeschooliong bible study this Wed.
Also, we are still in the Mt. Diablo School Dist. because we basically chose independent study with me having the freedom to choose his curriculum. This means we can still be involved with his old schools extracurricular activities. On Fridays he goes in for some Language Arts tutoring and goes to an Art class with his old third grade class to keep the social stuff up to par.
Can't lie I was excited to get some time to myself. Wanted it for about 9 years now. Cohen started pre-K and I was looking forward to finding myself again with them both in school. A few shed tears and one look at Parker and the decision was easily made.
Cohen still goes to Pre-K 3 days a week and that gives me needed one on one time with Parker.
These pictures are what my life looks like now
LOTS of library time and working on the floor at home.
