Happy Easter
We spent the Easter weekend at a family friends ranch in Porterville, ca.
When I say family friend I mean that more like family members. I grew up going to the ranch as a kid and so did my parents as well. The ranch is still owned by one amazing man POP. Pop is 98 years young (by the way Pop eats more junk food than a teenager) and drives around his beautiful ranch on his segway and is overwhelmingly good at it. Seeing Pop again and playing on the ranch (I have not been there since age 17) made me feel nostalgic and quite at home amongst the smell of citrus.
Pop's son Bill and my Mom are high school friends and have known each other for many years, so I know Bill as Uncle Bill. Another member of my extended and important to who I am family.
As a parent you are so fulfilled when something you enjoyed and remember so much as a child is passed on to your kids, it's almost like double the pleasure. You get to do it all over again without the mobility you once had.
I LOVED seeing the boys fish, catch frogs, eat as many oranges as possible, climb on tractors, make smores, get behind the steering wheel on Mom's lap and paddle boat with Daddy. Most of all the freedom to roam free and experience all that nature has to offer.
Oh, there was an Easter egg hunt too.
(thanks Janie)
So here are the million Porterville pictures of the Stockbridge/Thiret (my sisters family) and Tutu too trip.

Thanks again to Pop and Bill for offering me not only the memories I have of fun and life on the ranch, but allowing my kids to create memories of their own.
Love you guys
