March 2011 BOYS PHOTO SHOOT

I couldn't resist and plain and simple just couldn't stop taking the pictures.
There is this amazing hill by our house that was screaming for a photo shoot,
so the kids and I had a blast among the mustard plants.

It was such a beautiful day and the boys were about due
for a good close up.

ENJOY!!!

Long before I was Mom I was a pre-school teacher here in town and
I made some really GREAT friends that I still keep in touch with.
One is Ms. Stacy and she called me the other night to leave me a message...

We did it Ms. Stacy and the kids had a blast!

their tiny plastic lives to science (thanks soldiers)

Let's Duel

YAY, Grammy Carol was able to come today and see Parker
at practice. Parker is getting to that age where he pretends he
doesn't care, but kept looking up to make sure she was watching him every time he did something to impress .
Both my boys have such a great LOVE for their Great Grandma and she is
such a supportive G G'ma.
She is the kind of G G'ma that cuts out the comics every Sunday
and saves it in an envelope to hand out
the next visit. The boys LOVE it!!!!
We are SO lucky!!!!

Parker is getting SO good at fencing.
He LOVES it and has spent so much time reading about it and learning the history. I know it sounds silly, but I think it has made him a better player.

Enjoy the pics

FYI Parker is the fencer on the LEFT (red shoe laces)

Coach George
Advance and then attack
Advance ... attack ... lunge ... TOUCH!!! Great job Parker
Parry ... Excellent P
Thank you kind sir
Nice bout

Co-op Day BIRDS

Another awesome home school day!
We do a Co-op on Tuesdays, where a group of home schooled kids Mom's teach. Instead of a lesson done by a "teacher" it's done by "Mom Teacher". This gives the kids an opportunity to be taught and learn from another source and also some needed social time with friends.
I am new to the group and all the lessons were filled, so I was not called on to do a unit. Eventually, each Mom will get a chance to teach a month of
whatever the group planned on studying.
Last month Japan
This month Birds

It was great and the kids and Moms had a blast socializing and
working together as a team, so all who are involved have a good time.

Enjoy the pictures

Bird feeders
The kids were taught about Geese and Migration
(I never knew Geese don't leave a wounded one behind. They have two or so stay behind to see if he/she can be healed and the rest of the flock slows down, so when the injured one is ready they can catch up...Parker was the injured Goose)

They learned about different shapes and sizes and names of birds that live in our area.
This is the "Mom Teacher"(Anna) and with a sick baby attached to her back
she shared this awesome lesson with the kids
GREAT!

Duck Duck ... Goose

This part was pretty cool
As we were listening to the lesson a heard of cows roamed right on the other side of the fence from all the kids.
MOOOOOOO....

Fun Day

ARTastic

Parker had his first art show with our home study program.
He displayed some awesome stuff!
Acrylics, sketches, pastels and he won a literary award for a book about Salmon he created.

It was a VERY proud night and here are some of the photos.
ENJOY!

PS Thanks to Grandpa for hanging with Parker on his special night and Nana for letting Parker have his night and watching Cohen.
We love you and you are the BEST!
