Tahoe ... Did you grab the bags?

It started very innocent like, with Andy wanting to take a quick weekend trip up to Tahoe. I was dragging my feet a little because Daddy's don't really know what a "quick weekend trip to Tahoe" means for Mommy's. There is NO such thing as quick packing for two very active/dirty boys plus myself and not to mention snacks and car toys.
Well, it came together and I mentioned to Andy my suitcase, full of both the boys plus myself, was in our walk in closet, so when he filled his duffel bag he could load it all.
Andy decided to take the long way up Marsh Creek road for a nice drive to avoid Sac traffic. UNknowingly we traveled about 1.5 hours out of the way ... oops. No biggie we were in no rush. UNTIL ... "Andy you did load me and the boys suitcase ... right?"
Andy: "uh ... duhhhh ... What? ... NO"
Yeah, Mommy was a bit peeved, but what a nice/quiet (on Mom's part) family drive all the way back home.
By the way we stopped at Cattleman's and had dinner. Great place if you go by accident or on purpose.
Well, we came home spent the night and took off early for Tahoe.
This is our salvaged trip enjoy!

Parker always has his Indy hat, but I bought this little gem for Cohen and he has not taken it off in 2 whole days. So adorable!
Caught a Crawdad

The Commons

Our last day was the best we walked down the river and had SOOOO much FUN!
I LOVE TAHOE

Throwing rocks in a river. Man, boys could do it all day long ... who knew?

Daddy caught a snake. I said it was good we found it at the end of the walk.
I like snakes but I like to be warned I am near one.
Rare pictures of Mom and her wet, cold, river rug rats

TAHOE ... Babe did you load my suitcase?

SF ROCKS!!!!!

What a perfect City day!
I don't know if you can tell, but we are SO happy to be home. the City was a wonderful 65 degrees with breeze and fog ... so pleasant and smelt SOOOO good.
The family took a walk through China Town and the boys were wanting every sword we came across. Then we took a drive down to Pier 39 and we ate the BEST crab I have EVER had at the Franciscan ... serving important people since 1957. The view from our table was impeccable and binoculars attached to the table to keep the boys quiet. Both SWEAR they saw a shark. The sail boats were out in droves and the cargo ships were awesome in size next to the fishing boats.
From there we walked down to Ghirardelli Square and walked through the Chocolate Festival and what a GREAT way to spend any day if ya ask me. Then back to the Sea Lions and call it a day.
The City is so beautiful and as you all know I adore taking pictures, so it offered me so many opportunity's to do so.
Have I told anyone lately how much I love my family and how I crave giggles and care free days with them and letting them be free. I like watching there faces see something for the first time, the shock and awe is killer.
Enjoy the pictures ... one million per usual.

Look Kristie ... he is holding Phineas ... tee hee!

What? This is totally normal.

This is what I think of when my kids say "Mom I'm bored" Doesn't everybody?

Thought this was so funny and we were laughing SO hard we were crying and even in pain. Parker coined it
THE CHUCK CHUCK BABY SHOW

We took a really awesome trip to the Oakland Zoo and the boys had a blast. They are getting SO big and time seems to be speeding past me. My 33rd Birthday is creeping up and soon after Parker 8 and Cohen 4. WOW where has all this time gone. Lately I am pretty pleased with the outcome of time spent. I am so extremely lucky to have been and be a stay at home Mom. Sometimes it was and is really hard and exhausting to be the kind of Mom I desired to be if I were to stay with the Boys, but moreover it has been life changing and rewarding to who I am as well. Thanks to all the support that make it possible & thanks to the wonderful Andy for having the same desires for our kids. You are the best!

Enjoy the million Zoo pictures
and when asked their favorite animal they both responded with ...
SMEAR CATS
Oh, well can't win em all.
