The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires. ~William Arthur Ward

As a parent (if you are one) you pretty much can like anyone that genuinely likes your kids. Someone who accepts them for who they are good, bad and awesome and can appreciate their character and heart. We were lucky enough to have two GREAT and inspiring teachers this year.

Parker's 1st grade teacher is an inspiration. She walked me through all Parker's allergy stuff and offered me support guidance and even a grocery shopping friend. Although I found it a bit awkward calling her Tracy instead of Mrs. fiala we became fast friends. She is creative, dedicated, funny and an awesome advocate. To Parker she is also funny, supportive, trustworthy, hug worthy and inspirational ... he looked to please her and I believe he seceded.
Thanks Mrs. Fiala

Mrs. Pally dear sweet Mrs. pally with the patience of a saint. Mrs Pally is always soft spoken and kind. Mrs Pally's inspiration comes from being an amazing Christian woman, who also is a cancer survivor. This was her first year back to work and one we will always remember. She has an easy going heart full of LOVE for all her little ones.
Thanks Mrs. Pally

High game 201 ... in 1994

If ya know me you know Mama is a bowler, so I decided to take the boys today and they were the perfect age. Parker was old enough to really want to do well and Cohen was old enough to be thrilled he can toss the ball down the lane, who cares if you hit the pins! What an awesome day! Enjoy the pics.
PS Parker is a great photographer too.

That is what I said ... what the "BLEEP"?

So new adventure in food. I know a few of you dear friends also struggle with little ones and allergies, so here are my helpful links so far. Keep at it friends!

http://www.nourishinghope.com/

She (Julie Matthews) demystified specific diets for me GF CF, SCD etc. She also had tons of stuff on You Tube about natural healthy eating. My son is not Autistic, but follows the same diet that would benefit an Autistic child due to his allergies. Plus ADHD runs in the same family as Autism just different behaviors.

I get Parker's probiotics and multi-vitamin(called Vitaspectrum) from klairlabs.com and his cod liver oil (Nordic naturals) from kirkmanlabs.com the b-12 shot is a prescription from his Dan Doctor.

Dan Doctor: DAN! (Defeat Autism Now! remember add and adhd are in the same family) is an organization founded by the Autism Research Institute. DAN! Doctors are focused on treating autism and other neurodevlopmental issues biomedically. It is important to point out that DAN! Doctors are typically classically trained medical doctors who apply their training to treat autism medically. Please note that it may be 2-3 months with some doctors before you are able to get an appointment.

Our Dan Doc is Dr. Lin in Irvive, CA his web site explains a lot too. www.safevaccinemd.com

I also became a member of Kids With Food Allergies

www.kidswithfoodallergies.org

and there are tons of recipes for P there and you can check boxes of the things you are allergic to and it will give you a list of things you can make. FUN!!!

Since Parker has been on the GFCF diet plus staying away from foods on his list and the vitamins supplements he is taking (probiotics, cod liver oil, multi-vitamin, vitamin B-12 shots every 2 days this is the natural version of Ritalin) he has been so easy going and less what I call ON FIRE. Some days I do get the constant noise or OVER talking and interruptions galore, strange ultra emotional out bursts or chewing on his clothes, but now instead of 20 times a day reminders I can tell him maybe 3 or 4 and he will stop and try to change the behavior. I know what is appropriate behavior for a 7 year old and I know boys are rambunctious and crazy, but ummm this is a tad bit different for me. People can tell me "C'mon Dana, he's just a boy and boys have a lot of boy energy" or "he's just a 7 year old boy" till they are blue in the face, but until you are a Mother to that "energetic, 7 Year old boy" don't give me your advice. Thanks though!

Will let you all know when I have more to say about all that Jazz
